DAILY HEALING ROUTINE
INTRODUCTION
The following method of self healing acupressure is called Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ), which means the Art of the Creator through the man of compassion. Developed by Jiro Murai of Japan in the early 1900, JSJ was brought to the United States by Mary Burmeister.
The foundation of Jin Shin Jyutsu is the practice of Self-Help, which is how JSJ was born and how Jiro Murai used it, first to heal himself from an incurable illness, and then to heal others.
The JSJ Self-Help method is divided into four projects: 1- Connecting to the Source 2- Melting the Attitudes 3- General Daily Sequences 4- Special Sequences
In practicing JSJ Self-Help, just follow the given order and breathe. Once you have learnt the sequence, it only takes a total amount of 30 - 40 minutes to do it all. Time permitting, you can do the entire sequence all in one shot.
If you do not have enought time, you can also break up the sequence in four parts, for example doing Project 1 in the morning, Project 2 at lunch, Project 3 in the afternoon and Project 4 in the evening.
If you still find it difficult to fit all four projects in one day, spread it over a longer period of time, maybe one or two projects per day. Whenever you break up the sequence, just remember where you ended, so that the next time you do it, you can start from there. In other words, you do not need to start the sequence from the beginning again.
Once a student asked Mary Burmeister about the practice of JSJ Self-Help. He wanted to know, if he was doing it right. Mary replied: "There is no right or wrong. The only wrong is not to do it."
